Rules and Prizes, Terms and Conditions
Applications
Applications are welcomed from boys and girls who live in, or who are educated in the historic county of
Lincolnshire, including North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
There are 3 age groups (ages at 31 August 2024) and separate competitions for instrumentalists and vocalists. Competitors may enter more than one category.

Juniors (Under 11’s), closing date for video entries 16 October

Intermediates (Under 14’s) closing date for video entries 18 October

Seniors (Under 18’s), closing date for video entries 20 October.
Applications should be made via Video Submission.

You will receive an email within 2 days of your video submission to confirm receipt.
Soon after you will receive a telephone call to explain how the rest of the process will be conducted.
All who are selected to perform on 9 November must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their conduct and safety.
Those selected by the adjudicators will take part in the competition to be held at Louth Methodist Church, Nichol Hill, LN11 9NQ on 9 November.
We aim to make it a friendly and positive event.
All performers will receive constructive feedback from experienced adjudicators.
The decisions of the adjudicators are final and no discussions, written or verbal, will be entered into.
Prizes
Young Musician of the Year
In addition to the winning prize for the relevant competition the overall winner will receive £50.
Senior Competition
Each winner of the vocal and instrumental competitions will receive £400.
Each second place in the vocal and instrumental competitions will receive £150.
Each third place in the vocal and instrumental competitions will receive £75.
Intermediate Competition
Each winner of the vocal and instrumental competitions will receive £250.
Each second place in the vocal and instrumental competitions will receive £100.
Each third place in the vocal and instrumental competitions will receive £50.
Junior Competition
Winners and all runners up will receive shield and certificates.
Some of the category winners will also receive cups which they may retain until the following year’s competition. Acceptance of these terms is a condition of entry into the competition.
